Kashan carpets are among the most elegant and historically significant Persian rugs, originating from the city of Kashan in central Iran. Renowned for their refined craftsmanship, these carpets typically feature a symmetrical design centered around a large, intricate medallion, surrounded by dense floral patterns of vines, palmettes, and blossoms that flow harmoniously across the field. Their color palette is rich and luxurious, often dominated by deep reds, navy blues, and ivory tones, sometimes accented with gold or soft greens, traditionally achieved using natural dyes that age beautifully over time.
